About Declare

Declare with a Stache!About
Declare Creative Services is a custom graphic design boutique offering creative services for clients of all sizes. Owned by Creative Director Gina De Nardo, the company specializes in using client’s inspiration to form and work through ideas.

History of our location
Our studio is located in The Shirt Factory, a building that was constructed in 1902 for the McMullen-Leavens Company and was known for its shirts, and eventually dressmaking. In 1939 the company acquired the label of Troy Shirt Makers Guild from a competitor in Troy, NY. The Troy Shirt Makers label would eventually account for almost 70% of domestic shirt sales in the United States. The factory continued operations until 1996 when globalization of the textile industry took its toll on domestic textile manufacturing. In 1999 the building was reborn as a location for art galleries, studios and other small businesses and has become a popular destination.
When you visit the Declare studio, you can still see the marks, grooves and indents in the wooden floors from the sewing machines and other equipment.

Where does the name “declare.” come from?

To declare yourself is to reveal your intentions or identity and to announce yourself.
We incorporate this creative mission into each unique project by the use of clear, conceptual design.

Who do we work with?
We work with clients in the Albany regional area and beyond and make a conscious effort to support local businesses by providing flexible services and by utilizing suppliers (when at all possible) from the upstate tri-county region of New York. If you think our services would be a good fit for you, drop us a line. We'd be happy to hear from you!
